Service areas
Only take bookings in the suburbs you actually drive to.
For cleaners, mobile groomers, therapists and anyone who works at the client's address. Group the suburbs you cover into areas, choose which team members work each one, and Booklink asks clients for their suburb first, then shows only the times of the people who go there.
Offerings at the client's address work on every plan. Service areas, with suburb coverage and staff per area, are included in Pro at R79 a month.

How service areas work
Offerings at the client's address
Set where an offering happens to At the client's address and clients add their address when they book. The address shows on the booking with a Directions link, on your Google Calendar event and in your new-booking alerts.
Areas made of suburbs
Pick a province and municipality, then tick suburbs on the map or in a searchable list. Add every suburb within a few kilometres of a starting point in one go, and add your own suburb names when a place is missing.
The right person for the suburb
Choose which team members cover each area. A client in Durbanville only sees times for the people who go to Durbanville, and a reschedule checks the suburb again.
Suburb first on your booking page
Clients pick their suburb before anything else, so nobody books a slot you cannot reach. Embedding the booking page on a page about one neighbourhood? Start it in that suburb.
Requests from other suburbs
Clients outside your areas can leave their email instead of leaving. You see every request by suburb, so you know where demand is before you start going there.
Bookings you add yourself
When you book a client at their address from Booklink, add their suburb and address and Booklink warns you if nobody on the team covers it.
In one paragraph
Can Booklink limit bookings to the suburbs I service?
Yes. Booklink service areas let a mobile or call-out business, such as a cleaning company, mobile dog groomer or mobile therapist, group South African suburbs into named areas and choose which team members cover each area. When an offering takes place at the client's address and the business switches on Ask clients for their suburb, the booking page asks for the suburb first and only shows available times for team members who cover it. Clients in suburbs outside the business's areas can leave their email as a request. Suburbs are picked from a map or a searchable list by province and municipality, or added within a radius of a starting point, and businesses can add their own suburb names. The client's address appears on the booking with directions, on the Google Calendar event and in new-booking alerts. Service areas are part of Booklink Pro at R79 a month; offerings at the client's address work on every plan.
Questions about service areas
Which offerings can be at the client's address?
One-on-one appointments. Classes, workshops and other group sessions happen at your place or online.
Do I have to set up service areas to go to clients?
No. Any plan can run offerings at the client's address, and clients add their address when they book. Service areas add the suburb check and the staff per area, and need Pro.
What happens if I downgrade to Free?
Your areas are kept but paused. Clients are no longer asked for their suburb until you upgrade again, and you can still delete areas or switch the suburb question off.
Can a team member cover more than one area?
Yes. Pick as many team members for each area as you like, and the same person can work several areas. Each team member's page shows the areas they cover.
