Website embed and tracking

Take bookings on your own website, and know which ads paid off.

Paste one snippet and your booking page lives on your website, inline or behind a Book now button. Every booking remembers where it came from, and on Pro your Google Analytics and Google Ads tags count each booking as a conversion.

Embedding and booking sources work on every plan; the Free plan shows a small Powered by Booklink badge inside the embed. Conversion tracking and your own thank-you page are included in Pro at R79 a month.

What you can do on your own site

Inline or popup

Settings, Embed on your website gives you copy and paste snippets: an inline booking page that sits in your page and grows to fit, a Book now button that opens it as a popup, and a plain iframe for site builders that only accept one.

Bookings land like any other

Bookings made on your website go into Booklink exactly like bookings from your link, with the same deposits, reminders and confirmations. Card payments open your gateway outside the frame, so checkout works on any site.

Where every booking came from

Add ref or utm tags to your booking link and Booklink keeps them on the booking, along with Google, Meta and Microsoft ad click IDs. You see the source on the booking itself.

GA4 and Google Ads (Pro)

Add your GA4 measurement ID and your Google Ads conversion, and every completed booking or package purchase is sent as a conversion with its value, so your ads report the bookings they bring in.

Your own thank-you page (Pro)

Send clients to a page on your website after they book. Booklink adds the booking ID, service, value and currency to the link, ready for your own tracking. Your site can also listen for the booklink:booked event from the embed.

Start in a suburb

If you use service areas, an embed can open already set to one suburb, which suits a page written for one neighbourhood.

In one paragraph

Can I embed Booklink on my website?

Yes. Booklink gives every account copy and paste embed snippets under Settings, Embed on your website: an inline booking page, a Book now popup button and a plain iframe. Bookings made through the embed work exactly like bookings through the booking link, including online deposits through Yoco, Paystack, PayFast or iKhokha. On the Free plan the embed shows a small Powered by Booklink badge; Pro removes it. Every booking keeps its ref and utm tags and ad click IDs from Google, Meta and Microsoft so the business can see where it came from. On Pro, a business can add a GA4 measurement ID and a Google Ads conversion so each booking is reported as a conversion with its value, and send clients to its own thank-you page with the booking ID, service, value and currency in the link.

Questions about website embed and tracking

Does it work with WordPress, Wix and Squarespace?

Yes. Paste the snippet into a custom HTML or embed block. Builders that only accept an iframe can use the iframe snippet. The help centre has steps for each.

Do I need Pro to embed?

No. Every plan can embed. The Free plan shows a small Powered by Booklink badge inside the embed, and Pro removes it.

Is tracking reliable inside an embed?

Browsers limit tracking inside embedded frames. For the most reliable numbers on an embedded booking page, use the thank-you page or listen for the booklink:booked event on your own site.

Do I need to update my privacy policy?

If you switch on GA4 or Google Ads tracking, yes. The tags use cookies on your booking page, so mention Google Analytics or Google Ads in your privacy policy.
